I have been working in higher education, and specifically with SACSCOC accreditation, for almost 20 years. I have a doctorate in higher education leadership and policy from Vanderbilt University, along with an MBA and a bachelor’s degree in marketing. Like many accreditation professionals, I just sort of fell into SACSCOC accreditation work - and I found out I really enjoy it!

I like guiding institutions in making their best case to demonstrate their compliance with SACSCOC standards, and I’ve done that with all types of institutions, both public and private, from community colleges to liberal arts colleges to large research institutions. I truly believe that accreditation doesn’t have to be scary or anxiety-inducing for an institution. Instead, it can be an outlet to show the wonderful attributes that make your institution unique and the reasons your institution is successful in accomplishing its mission.
